 1. How do I install Acrobat Reader® on my computer?

You need Acrobat Reader 4.0 or higher to see NTRS Complaince Report. Currently, Adobe® offers the latest version free on their site. (If you have an earlier version of Reader, be sure to uninstall it before installing a higher version. In Windows, click Start in the bottom left corner of your screen. Select Settings, then Control Panel, then Add/Remove Programs. Locate the older version of Reader and click Remove.)

Before you begin, exit from all applications you may be running (except the browser), because you may need to restart your computer.

1. Go to the
Adobe Acrobat® site.

2. At Step 1, leave language set to English. At Platform, choose the appropriate version for your computer and operating system. Click on Continue button.

3. At Step 2, uncheck any downloads you do not want, select the Adobe Acrobat version and click the Download button at the bottom of the page.

4. At the File Download window, Do one of the following:

  • To start the installation immediately, click Run.

  • To save the download to your computer for installation at a later time, click Save.

  • To cancel the installation, click Cancel.
  • The Download Manager begins downloading, which can take a few minutes. Then it displays a window to report progress "recomposing" the Setup. This process can also take a few minutes. Finally, the installation process begins. You must click the Next button several times. When installation is complete, it's a good idea to restart your computer.

Note: The first time you open a PDF document, you'll be prompted to accept the Adobe license agreement.
